Manni's Tornado Shot Deadeye Gear, Jewels & Flasks (PoE Necropolis) (2024)

Manni's Tornado Shot Deadeye Gear, Jewels & Flasks (PoE Necropolis) (1) Manni

On this page, we go over all gear slots, Jewels and Flasks in detail.
I also included a suggested long-term upgrade on many slots to give you some ideas on how to upgrade the character beyond the budget of the setup used in this guide.

Bow & Quiver

Bow

The Bow is unsurprisingly the key item to determine our damage output. The base type should be Spine Bow or Ivory Bow and other base types are significantly weaker because they lack Crit Chance or Attack Speed.

For Prefixes, we want as much added Elemental Damage as possible. We want Lightning Damage to have a higher top-end value than the other two Elements to enable Trinity Support, but otherwise the types of damage are not important.

For Suffixes, increased Critical Strike Chance is most important, followed by increased Attack Speed.
A good third suffix would be Chance to deal Double Damage or Crit Multiplier. Additional Arrows are the best possible Suffix, but extremely hard to acquire and reserved for higher budgets.

An example of a passable Bow would be this multi-modded Bow with around 750 Elemental DPS:

Manni's Tornado Shot Deadeye Gear, Jewels & Flasks (PoE Necropolis) (5)

Long-term upgrade:
The ideal Tornado Shot Bow has to have 2 additional Arrows on top of the stats of our example Bow as extra Arrows increase both our clear speed and single-target damage.
Crafting a good Bow with 2 additional Arrows is extremely difficult, so a base with fractured 2 additional Arrows is usually required. However, the fractured base alone can cost more than the entire gear set that we use in this guide, so treat this as a very expensive long-term goal!

Quiver

The Quiver is a source of many DPS modifiers, most importantly for us, it grants an additional Arrow.
The Feathered Arrow Quiver is by far the best base type for its much desired Projectile Speed.

For Prefixes, we are looking for:

  • Maximum Life
  • increased Damage with Bow Skills
  • Added Lightning, Cold or Fire Damage to Attacks

For Suffixes, an additional Arrow is mandatory and additionally, Projectile Speed has the next highest priority.
A third good Suffix is very hard to acquire together with the two stats mentioned above, but these would be useful third Suffixes:

  • Crit Multiplier
  • Attack Speed
  • Accuracy Rating
  • Crit Chance
  • Dexterity

An example of a good Quiver for our build would be this:

Manni's Tornado Shot Deadeye Gear, Jewels & Flasks (PoE Necropolis) (7)

Long-term upgrade:

The long-term chase item for the Quiver slot would also include a high Crit Multiplier Suffix on top of additional Arrow and Projectile Speed, which usually requires a Feathered Arrow Quiver base with fractured additional Arrows to be crafted.

Armour Pieces

Body Armour

For our Body Armour, we aim for as much Evasion Rating as possible together with a Spell Suppression Suffix and an open Prefix for our bench craft.
We need to avoid any modifiers with the Life Tag to be able to use the Life Mastery that grants “15% increased Maximum Life if your Body Armour does not have any Life modifiers.”. This includes Life Regeneration as well.

To summarize, for Prefixes we are looking for:

  • +400-500 to Evasion Rating
  • %increased Evasion Rating
  • 5-6% of Physical Damage from Hits is taken as Lightning Damage/Fire Damage” bench craft.

A Body Armour with these Prefixes should have 2500-3500 Evasion Rating.

For Suffixes, the most important modifiers are:

  • Chance to Suppress Spell Damage (near mandatory)
  • Fire/Cold/Lightning Resistance
  • Chaos Resistance
  • Dexterity

For Eldritch Implicits, we aim for

  • Grace has x% increased Aura Effect
  • x% increased Effect of Non-Curse Auras from your Skills

to gain even more Evasion Rating from Grace.

This is an example of a good Body Armour:

Manni's Tornado Shot Deadeye Gear, Jewels & Flasks (PoE Necropolis) (9)

Long-term upgrades:
When you invest more currency into this build, you would want all your Body Armour affixes to be high tier and upgrade the Eldritch Implicits as high as possible.

Helmet

Helmet Enchants no longer exist as of 3.23, saving us a large amount of currency as we can use a “normal” helmet now.
The Helmet should ideally be a DEX-based base type to enable the Evasion Mastery granting us +15% Spell Suppression when all our gear has any Evasion Rating. A high Evasion base type like Lion Pelt with a high item level is ideal.

For Prefixes, the important modifiers are:

  • Maximum Life
  • “8% of Physical Damage from Hits taken as Fire Damage instead” – bench craft

For Suffixes, Helmets have the ability to roll Accuracy Rating and Spell Suppression that we need to get either here or from the Gloves slot.
These are the most important Suffixes:

  • +(400-600) to Accuracy Rating
  • Chance to Suppress Spell Damage
  • Fire, Lightning or Cold Resistance
  • Chaos Resistance
  • INT

For Eldritch Implicits we aim for:

  • x% reduced Mana Cost of Attacks
  • x% of Physical Damage from Hits taken as Fire/Lightning/Cold Damage

An example of our Helmet is this:

Manni's Tornado Shot Deadeye Gear, Jewels & Flasks (PoE Necropolis) (11)

Long-term upgrade:
Our ideal helmet would be on a high Evasion base type, have only high tier modifiers and upgraded Eldritch Implicits. The veiled modifier “+2 to Level of Socket AoE Gems” to gain 2 Gem Levels on our Aura Skills would be the last Prefix on a perfect Helmet.

Gloves

Our Gloves provide us with Accuracy or Spell Suppression, depending on what we did not manage to roll on our enchanted Helmet.
Keep in mind that the Gloves need to have any Evasion Rating on them to enable our Evasion Mastery.

The most important Prefixes are:

  • Maximum Life
  • bench crafted (37-43)% increased Damage while Leeching

Our desired Suffixes are:

  • +(400-600) to Accuracy Rating
  • Chance to Suppress Spell Damage
  • Fire, Lightning or Cold Resistance
  • Chaos Resistance
  • Attack Speed

For Eldritch Implicits we aim for:

  • Gain 1 Rage on Hits with Attacks, no more than once every x seconds.
  • x% increased Global Accuracy Rating or x% chance to Suppress Spell Damage

The choice of Global Accuracy or Spell Suppression on the Eater of Worlds Implicit depends on the rest of our gear and we should pick whatever is necessary to meet the requirements for these stats.

An example of a pair of Gloves for the build is this:

Manni's Tornado Shot Deadeye Gear, Jewels & Flasks (PoE Necropolis) (12)

Long-term upgrade:
Optimal Gloves for our build would have modifiers of the highest tiers and maximally upgraded Searing Exarch Implicit for faster Rage generation. Gloves could, equivalently to the Helmet, be a source of +2 Levels of socketed AoE Gems as well to increase the power of our Aura Gems.

Boots

Most importantly, our Boots should have the veiled hybrid modifier that grants both Increased Movement Speed and a chance to gain Onslaught on Kill.
We can bench-craft this modifier on Boots with Life, good Suffixes and an open Prefix for a very cost-efficient pair of Boots.
Keep in mind that the Boots need to have any Evasion Rating to enable our Evasion Mastery.

Maximum Life is the only Prefix we need and good Suffixes are these:

  • Chance to Suppress Spell Damage
  • Fire, Lightning or Cold Resistance
  • Chaos Resistance
  • STR

For Eldritch Implicits, we are looking for

  • x% increased Action Speed (very powerful and high priority)
  • x% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate or x% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate for Movement Skills (low priority)

An example of a pair of Boots for this build is this:

Manni's Tornado Shot Deadeye Gear, Jewels & Flasks (PoE Necropolis) (13)

Long-term upgrade:
Boots on a higher budget version would have the unveiled version of the Movement Speed/Onslaught hybrid modifier instead of the crafted one with lower values.
I would also aim to achieve a 100% Chance to Avoid Elemental AIlments by using the Ancestral Vision Jewel eventually, granting us 50% Spell Suppression. It would require our Boots to have a “Chance to Avoid Elemental Ailments” Suffix from an Shrieking Essence of Loathing as well as an Eater of Worlds Implicit granting the same to deliver the final 50% Chance to Avoid Elemental Ailments.

Jewellery

Amulet

The Amulet slot offers an efficient way to gain STR and INT attributes that we need to meet our attributes requirements, for example by using an Agate Amulet base type.

The mandatory modifiers on an Amulet are maximum Life and Crit Multiplier.
Additionally, good Prefixes are:

  • increased Elemental Damage with Attack Skills
  • Added Fire, Lightning or Cold Damage to Attacks
  • Projectile Damage + Projectile Speed bench-craft.

Strong Suffixes include:

  • Fire, Lightning, Cold or All Elemental Resistances
  • Chaos Resistance
  • STR, INT or All Attributes
  • Critical Strike Chance
  • Attack Speed
  • Accuracy Rating

The recommended Anointment is Disciple of the Unyielding granting us a minimum Endurance Charge and a chance to gain Endurance Charges on Kill as well as up to 24% increased Damage. This anoint provides both offensive and defensive bonuses.

An example of an Amulet for this build is this:

Manni's Tornado Shot Deadeye Gear, Jewels & Flasks (PoE Necropolis) (17)

Long-term upgrade:
The long-term goal for this build is to use Crystallised Omniscience which was excluded from this guide for budget reasons. Crystallised Omniscience requires us to change multiple things about our Passive Tree as well as our gearing, most importantly stacking a lot of STR, INT and DEX. While Omniscience is the long-term goal for this build, keep in mind that it will require many changes that can make the transition more expensive than what the Amulet already costs.

Rings

Our Rings are flexible and should be used to acquire the stats that the rest of our gear comes short on, such as Elemental Resistances to cap them, STR or INT to meet our attribute requirements, additional Accuracy to meet our Accuracy requirements and Chaos Resistance.
While not entirely necessary, using the bench-crafted Prefix that grants “non-channelling Skills have -7 to total Mana Cost” improves our character’s playability in maps without Regen or Leech.
Additionally, we can use the Ring slots to gain powerful DPS modifiers like Elemental Damage with Attacks, Added Fire, Lightning or Cold Damage, or Crit Multiplier.

I strongly recommend using Death Rush if we can spare a Ring slot, as the Adrenaline buff gives powerful boosts to Damage, Speed and Survivability.

Good Prefixes on Rare Rings are:

  • Maximum Life
  • Elemental Damage with Attack Skills
  • Adds Fire, Lightning or Cold Damage to Attacks
  • “Non-channelling Skills have -7 to total Mana Cost” bench-craft

Important Suffixes on Rare Rings are:

  • Fire, Lightning, Cold or All Elemental Resistance
  • STR or INT
  • +x to Accuracy Rating
  • Chaos Resistance
  • Critical Strike Multiplier (from Deafening Essence of Scorn)
  • Attack Speed

An example of a good Rare Ring would be:

Manni's Tornado Shot Deadeye Gear, Jewels & Flasks (PoE Necropolis) (22)

Long-term upgrade:
Other than improving the tiers of modifiers on the Ring, a synthesized Implicit such as “+1 to maximum Frenzy Charges” or “Global Critical Strike Multiplier” can be a chase item for the Ring slot. A well crafted Cogwork Ring is another high-end option, as suffixes are generally more valuable than prefixes on rings.

Belt

The Belt offers an ideal opportunity to find the Resistances and STR we need for our build to function. A Stygian Vise base type allows us to use an Abyss Jewel for additional Damage modifiers.

Good Prefixes on the Belt are:

  • Maximum Life
  • Increased Elemental Damage with Attacks
  • +(214-285) to Armour and Evasion Rating (bench-crafted)
  • increased Damage (bench-crafted)

The most useful Suffixes on Belts are:

  • Fire, Lightning or Cold Resistance
  • Chaos Resistance
  • STR
  • reduced Flask charges used
  • increased Flask charges gained
  • increased Flask Effect duration

An example of our Belt slot is this:

Manni's Tornado Shot Deadeye Gear, Jewels & Flasks (PoE Necropolis) (25)

Long-Term upgrade:
Other than improving our Rare Belt with higher tier modifiers, the ultimate goal of this build, like most other builds, is Headhunter or Mageblood.

Flasks

We opt to use an instant Life Flask that removes Bleeding and Corrupted Blood such as

Manni's Tornado Shot Deadeye Gear, Jewels & Flasks (PoE Necropolis) (28)

Our Passive Skill Tree provides us with a large amount of Flask Effect Duration and increased Flask Charges gained, so the uptime on our Utility Flasks should be near permanent while clearing through maps.

We use a Dying Sun unique Flask for the 2 additional Projectiles from which Tornado Shot benefits immensely. Watch out for a good duration roll on the Dying Sun to improve its uptime.

For the remaining three Flask slots we use these Utility Flasks:

  • Quicksilver Flask
  • Diamond Flask
  • Jade Flask

with these Suffixes

  • (15-17)% increased Attack Speed
  • (56-60)% increased Evasion Rating
  • (51-55)% increased Critical Strike Chance.

It does not matter which of the three Flask types has which Suffix, as they are all active at the same time regardless.

I recommend the Prefix “x% reduced Charges per use”, but any Prefix that improves the Flask’s uptime is acceptable.

We use the crafting bench to enchant all Utility Flask (including Dying Sun) with the modifier “Used when Charges reach full” to fully automate the Flask usage.

Jewels

Unique Jewels

While there are two Unique Jewels included in this build guide, neither of them is mandatory for this build to function.

Firstly, we aim to use a Watcher's Eye that grants “+(5-8)% chance to Evade Attacks while affected by Grace.
Since we already reach around 85% to 90% Chance to evade attacks due to our high Evasion Rating and Dread Banner lowering enemies’ Accuracy Rating, an additional 8% Chance to evade attacks is an enormous buff to our effective Life pool against attacks.
As an example, an 85% Chance to evade, the additional 8% chance to evade will lead to us getting hit 7% instead of 15% of the time, less than half as much as before. Note that this also greatly improves the value of Wind Dancer.

The second unique Jewel that we use is a Thread of Hope with a Large Radius, allowing us to save many Skill Points that would otherwise be used on rather inefficient small passives.

Manni's Tornado Shot Deadeye Gear, Jewels & Flasks (PoE Necropolis) (37)

Using the Thread of Hope enables us to use Cluster Jewels or a Lioneye's Fall in the Shadow area as further upgrades to the build.

Cluster Jewels

With the addition of Thread of Hope, explained above, and a high enough character level, we can add a Large Cluster Jewel and up to two Medium Cluster Jewels to the build. Note that these Jewels are in no way mandatory for the build to function, but are merely efficient upgrades to make once the build is functional.

Our ideal Large Cluster Jewel is an 8-Passive Bow Cluster and looks like this:

Manni's Tornado Shot Deadeye Gear, Jewels & Flasks (PoE Necropolis) (39)

“Feed the Fury” can be replaced by the slightly worse “Fuel the Fight” as a cheaper replacement.

Using a Large Cluster Jewel enables us to use Medium Cluster Jewels that are a very efficient source of DPS and Projectile Speed.

The 4-Passive or 5-Passive Projectile Cluster Jewels for our build are very accessible, as both modifiers are easy to roll:

Manni's Tornado Shot Deadeye Gear, Jewels & Flasks (PoE Necropolis) (40)

Note that it is perfectly fine to only use one of the Medium Clusters if you do not have enough levels to use both of them yet.

As an alternative to Cluster jewels, we can use Lioneye's Fall in the Shadow Area to make use of the passive points saved by the usage of Thread of Hope. The provided PoB includes a Passive Tree variation with Lioneye’s Fall.

Rare Jewels

Any remaining Jewel socket that is not occupied by the above mentioned unique and Cluster Jewels is filled by a rare Jewel.

The most important modifiers on Rare Jewels are:

  • Maximum Life
  • Global Critical Strike Multiplier
  • increased Attack Speed with Bows
  • Increased Damage with Bows
  • Increased Attack Speed
  • Increased Projectile Damage
  • any Resistances

A corrupted Implicit that grants “Corrupted Blood cannot be inflicted on you” is a nice bonus, but not necessary.

Long-term Jewel Upgrades

If you plan on upgrading the build past the budget of this guide I will list some Jewels you can aim to include:

  • Ancestral Vision in combination with Rare Boots that grant 50% Chance to Avoid Elemental Ailments allow us to be fully immune to Elemental Ailments, freeing up our Pantheons for different bonuses.
  • Forbidden Flesh and Forbidden Flame for either Focal Point, or any of the four Ascendancy Passives that we normally choose grants us a significant DPS boost.
  • Watcher's Eye can have additional beneficial modifiers on top of the Chance to evade Attacks that we use.
  • A Timeless Jewel such as Brutal Restraint or Lethal Pride can be used in the Shadow area to gain additional stats from the passives in the radius, potentially outshining a Rare Jewel in that socket.
