On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges on suspects Charles Staples, 35 years of age, of the 1000 block of Madison Lane in Florissant, Missouri 63031, and Makez Kimble, 35 years of age, of the 6200 block of Lorraine Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri 63121, for 13 counts of Property Damage First Degree, 9 counts of Stealing - $25,000 or More/Teller Machine or Contents, 4 counts of Burglary Second Degree, and 4 counts of Attempted Stealing – Teller Machine or Contents. Staples and Kimble are being held without bond. Please note, charges are merely an accusation and Defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law. The probable cause statement reads: Between June 2023 and April 2024, defendants were responsible for damaging numerous ATM machines at various locations in St. Louis County, at times forcibly entering businesses where the machines were located, and either stealing or attempting to steal the cash from within the machines. Anyone who believes they've been victimized by Ms. James is asked to contact our detectives at 314-615-5400. On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges on Brandi James, 25 years of age, of the 14000 block of Willow Bend Park, Chesterfield, MO, 63017, for two counts Statutory Sodomy or Attempted Statutory Sodomy – Deviate Sexual Intercourse and one count Child Molestation – 3rd Degree. James is being held on a $300,000 cash-only, no 10% bond. Please note, charges are merely an accusation and Defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law. The probable cause statement reads: Victim's mother discovers the diary of her 13 yr. old daughter. Upon reading the diary, the mother discovers that her daughter had been sexually involved with a 22 yr. old church mentor. Information on victim's phone supports the allegation that the victim and defendant had engaged in sodomy on at least two occasions. Victim states that her and the defendant engaged in sexual contact over the clothes. Defendant made admissions to others but refused to speak to the police. St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons detectives are leading the investigation. Detectives believe the incidents occurred between January 1, 2022 and November 30, 2022. Ms. James met the child while acting in a mentor capacity at House of Deliverance Church located in the 9300 block of St. Charles Rock Road, St. Louis, MO 63114. The church has cooperated with the investigation. LOUIS COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT2+ weeks agoAgencySt. Louis County, MO (August 20, 2024): St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons detectives and the Accident Reconstruction Unit are investigating a person fatally struck in the 5300 block of Wilborn Drive that resulted in the death of an adult female. At 12:53 a.m., St. Louis County police officers from the City of Jennings Precinct responded to a call for service for a person struck in the 5300 block of Wilborn Drive. Officers located an adult female who had been struck by a motor vehicle. The female was transported to an area hospital for treatment but succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased. Preliminary investigation revealed the female was walking on Wilborn Drive when she was struck by a motor vehicle that left the scene. The investigation is ongoing. Additional information will be disseminated as it becomes available. An unknown suspect stole the victim’s trailer and ATV. DOP, 24-30513, 08/15/2024, 653 Gravois Bluffs Blvd, Walmart. An unknown suspect “keyed” the victim’s vehicle. Assault, 24-30552, 08/15/2024, 677 Gravois Bluffs Blvd, Freddy’s. The juvenile suspect became upset at the employee, so he threw a chair at her and struck her in the head. The juvenile was taken into custody. DOP, 24-31139, 08/19/2024 @ 2:00 am, Sennawood, Forest Knoll subdivision. The suspect broke out the victim’s vehicle window. Nothing was taken.
